SANTA BARBARA, Calif. - The San Marcos High School group Kids Helping Kids put on a Harvest Festival this weekend.

The event took place at the Santa Barbara Carriage Museum.

Hundreds of people were able to enjoy music, carnival booths, food trucks and line dancing.

Tickets were $5, and all the proceeds go to the organization which helps disadvantaged youth locally and around the world.

"I want the community to know more of what we are doing and that we really are a presence here in Santa Barbara and we just feel really fortunate to be one. As students it's really cool for us to learn what it means to actually make a difference and to give back," said Carter Hudson, the Kids Helping Kids CEO.

The money raised this weekend will help with the January 11 fundraising event. That's when Kids Helping Kids kick off its big benefit concert at the Granada Theater.
